Atop the Taconic Plateau

My favorite hike to date was Mt. Washington State Forest

We passed the marked trail head to take a quick drive around the area and found a line of cars parked in an otherwise desolate area. We thought, this must be the good place.

Boy were we (they) right. We almost turned back a few times as we hadn't come prepared for a long, strenuous hike but after passing by a few groups of people, smiling ear to ear, we knew we must be close. About 1.5 hours in, there it was

My friends, let me tell you, this was the most breathtaking, expansive scene I've ever laid eyes on. It's truly made me understand the drive to climb. And climb we will continue to do!
