Wedding Daydream

single happy couple card from abbytrysagain

I walked into a little jeweler down the street the other day to get my ring finger sized. Just to know, you know? I've never been one to dream of my fairytale wedding. I'd much prefer a small amount of witnesses at an even smaller ceremony, followed by a much larger gathering of both of our friends and families (who at this point have never met).

But then there's Etsy.. and all it's gorgeous weddingness.. I can't help but wonder what that DIY, handmade wedding might look like :)

Handmade sterling silver and faceted crystal quartz ring from littlebugjewelry

Tulip Dress from Sarah Seven

Lemon Madeleines from inkandpaperarts

Dozen Heart trinket 12 dishes from firecat

Bird Seed Toss Favor Bags from thepaperynook

Just Married Photo Prop Sign from braggingbags

What was your wedding like? Or what do you imagine it will be like??

Beautiful pictures. I found out about Etsy after I got married (and there weren't as many wonderful choices as there are now on Etsy). But I still love our wedding - it was about 80 people and we danced as late into the night as we could.

Beautiful wedding daydream! I was married a little over 5 years ago on a private beach in the Bahamas. We had close family and friends there and a small reception. We then had a large reception back in the states about 2 months after we married. I would do it all over the same.

Hey honey bun! I am sitting here drinking my peppermint tea while reading this....

I HEART you.....

I went off, just me and hubby, to Vegas. Then had a party when we came back home with a small amount of friends and family. We will celebrate 10 years on 7-7-2011.

I hope you get the wedding of your dreams !
Love ya

complicated family stuff means the wedding idea never called to us - but going off somewhere, coming back married and having a huge shin-dig definitely appeals (ahem, if I was asked!)
after 15 years and 2 kids, it could go either way - no point now, or the logical next step...and you are tempting me with your glorious Etsy wedding finds....

Oh man, Etsy is DANGEROUS when a girl is feeling wedding'y. It's so much fun to browse and daydream.

I'd adore a teeny tiny little one with my feet in the sand, but that cannot happen. My big fat Italian and Assyrian families would have my head.

Love it!! My wedding was kinda handmade, but done by myself and my mom, could have used some cute Etsy contributions... :D

Have you read the book The Peach Keeper? Your blog name makes me think of it!
