My boyfriend and I got up early last Sunday and took a nice long walk around the neighborhood. It's funny how differently you see things that you've gone by a thousand times when you take a lens to it!
I never noticed the bridge on the Deli sign before. And I don't think I realized just how much snow we have! Definitely the only way to see the city near slumber :) Nobody but us pigeons!

Jimminey crickets, that's a lot of snow! When I was on the East Coast, I couldn't wait to escape the snow. Now that I'm so far away from home, I actually miss it a little... I especially like the first photo. Stay warm! :)
at first i thought, 'not too bad - the streets are clear, and people have shoveled the sidewalks.' but then i saw the buried cars!!!
stay warm!
...oh, you have a deli and a bookstore, too. I loved Brooklyn when I saw NY. It has such a neighbourly atmosphere--at least the part I saw.
It's so funny how quickly we got used to the snow piles! After I loaded the photos onto my computer and went through them, I really got an idea just how much area they take up :)
Dawn, the used bookstore on our block closed a few years ago. The one pictured is a bit of a walk away but still worth it to not have to go to the Barnes and Noble!
Great photos Peach!
I love how the Deli sign reads "Catering Heros" - it reads to me like that's what they'd serve up at your next lunch, a nice strong hero!
(probably because we call them subs out here ;)
