I've had it on my calendar for a week. We knew the Muppets were not only coming to town, but coming to our neighborhood! We set out early, got a nice spot, and had the wonderful opportunity to watch the taping of a few scenes of Letter's to Santa - Muppets Christmas.
It's times like these, I believe Brooklyn to be the most magical place on earth :)
After one scene was completed, they immediately began setting for the next. BlogMaster2000 and I ran over to pick up a quick egg sandwich and bagel with cream cheese, arriving back just in time to watch Mayor Michael Bloomberg stroll up! He quickly got into make up and onto the set! Who knew?!?
It only took them three shots with a quite little quip on New Yorkers and Bloomberg vanished as quickly as he appeared.
Hands down, one of the best mornings ever :) Merry Muppet Christmas to all!!

I am so jealous of this! I love the Muppets so much. When I was a little girl I loved Gonzo more than anything, I used to tell everyone that he was my seventh cousin, I actually think I got a few kids to believe me :)

There’s been a lot of star-studded action in Brooklyn lately. First it was Antonio Banderas filming on Brighton Beach, then rappers Fabolous, Mims, and Fat Joe all performing sold-out concerts at the nightclub Rasputin. Now, we have the Muppets in town? They were a big part of my childhood, but more importantly their production team decided to use the wonderful city of BK to film their new movie.
