Let the Games Begin

Though there is much controversy surrounding the 2008 Beijing Olympics, while watching the opening ceremony you couldn't help but feel the magic and shear excitement of this grand event.

For those of you who had the opportunity to tune in, we know we'll never see anything quite like that again.

Game on!

Breathtaking images, Peach! I only caught bits, but it almost brought tears to my eyes.

it was absolutely stunning! the beauty and attention to detail, plus the thousands of performers all in sync. that's a message to the world itself. i really loved the printing press portion - it was incredible.

i think the olympics is a sporting event that thankfully brings political issues to light to many who might otherwise be unaware as you mentioned.

love these photos!

You are so right, politics and ethics aside the olympic games are still a magical time. I am a huge sports fan and will probably spend way to much time watching anything from badminton, team handball, field hockey, and sailing...
Thank you for visiting my blog last week. I am excited to have discovered yours!
