Alchemy

Up until a few weeks ago I had only been on the bidding end of the new Alchemy feature (a recent, re-addition to Etsy.com. If you have yet to venture over to check it out, I highly recommend it). But for my birthday, of which I made it abundantly clear to all of you as being at the end of last month, I decided to do one of my very own. This is how it read:

"It's my birthday today (or for the next couple of hours!) and I wanted to get myself a little something from the wonderful community of Etsy :) I'm really on the lookout for an Original ACEO but would be willing to entertain most any offers.

Thank you and happy weekend!"

I got not 1, not 2, but 47 bids before I forced myself to close it and file through the array of amazingness that had already come in. Here are just a few that were so close to being mine (if only monetary devices didn't have to be a factor) that I just have to give an honorable mention "shout out" to:

I have purposefully not added their shop names or descriptions to FORCE you to get out that index finger and give a click to each and every one :)

So what, you are wondering, did I pick out?? I just couldn't resist these:

All original designs and creative talent brought to you by Bridgette at Earmark. They came lightning fast, incredibly brilliant and with one of these lovely magnets as a free gift!

I will leave you with its quote:

"Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go."
T.S. Eliot

That's great that you got such a good response to your alchemy request.

I have yet to try out that side of the feature.

Oh I do not blame you for your choice! Those are gorgeous!!! Isn't it fun to receive items like this in the mail? Although I do have to say I am happy you almost chose mine :)

I was thinking of doing the same thing for my upcoming birthday! I've made one request through alchemy so far (for a gift) and got an amazing response with so many great options. I'm a huge fan of alchemy now. :)
